By Car

From Hull (approx. 8 miles)
Take the Beverley/York Road direction York A1079, at the end of the Beverley bypass take the first exit off the next major roundabout in the direction of Walkington. You will enter Walkington via the traffic lights and then see a series of traffic calmers in the road. Go past the Village pond on your right hand side. You will then see a row of detached houses and a public house called THE BARREL. As you soon as you see THE BARREL indicate left - The Barn House is diagonally opposite. You will see a gravel drive with brick pillars at either side leading to the Barn House Courtyard.

From York (approx. 28 miles)
Take the A1079 Beverley Road to Bishop Burton. Go through Bishop Burton until you reach the next major roundabout. Take the 4th exit and keep on this road until you reach Walkington Village. You will know you have arrived in the village because you will see a series of traffic calmers in the road. Go past the Village pond on your right hand side. You will then see a row of detached houses and a public house called THE BARREL. As you soon as you see THE BARREL indicate left - The Barn House is diagonally opposite. You will see a gravel drive with brick pillars at either side leading to the Barn House Courtyard.

From Humber Bridge (approx. 35 miles)
Cross the Humber Bridge and at the first major roundabout, take the A164 Willerby Road to Beverley. Follow the A164 for approximately seven miles going straight on at four other roundabouts on the way. At the last roundabout, go straight ahead, passing Skidby Windmill on your left. Continue for about 1 mile, then take a left turn to Walkington. Follow the winding road to Walkington for about two miles until you reach a set of traffic lights. Turn left at the traffic lights and you will see a series of traffic calmers in the road. Go past the Village pond on your right hand side. You will then see a row of detached houses and a public house called THE BARREL. As you soon as you see THE BARREL indicate left - The Barn House is diagonally opposite. You will see a gravel drive with brick pillars at either side leading to the Barn House Courtyard.

M62 East towards Hull (approx. 10 miles)
Follow the motorway all the way the end. The road then becomes the A63 and narrows to a dual carriageway instead of three lanes. At this point leave the motorway, there is a large motorway sign over the carriageway and it is signposted North Cave.

At the end of the exit road turn left into North Cave. Go through the village until you reach a T-junction with a local newsagent in front of you. Turn right here and follow the road out of the village. About two miles out of the village you will come to another T-junction. Turn left here and then almost immediately you turn right. Just after this turning you will pass a Conference Centre on you left hand side called Rudstone Walk.

Keep on this road for about five miles after which you will come into Walkington Village. You will know you have arrived in the village because you will see a series of traffic calmers in the road. As you head through the village, you will see three pubs on you left hand side, first the dog and duck, then the Ferguson and Fawcitt Arms and finally THE BARREL. As you soon as you see the Barrel indicate right - The Barn House is diagonally opposite. You will see a gravel drive with brick pillars at either side leading to the Barn House Courtyard.

Please be aware if you program your Sat Nav to direct you to The Barn House, it may take you up a side street called Autherd Garth or All Hallows Road. We are actually on the main street 'East End' directly opposite THE BARREL pub.

By train
We are just 3.2 miles from Beverely station and 10 miles from Brough station. If you wish to travel to the Barn House by train, we recommend you travel to Brough Station and take a taxi from there (we can arrange for a taxi for you if you wish).
